Collection Day…

A slight deviation from weddings…

It’s winter here down under and in turn few people are getting married, so in between green teas and staying warm, I am taking the opportunity to do some different work. Last week I was invited by ‘Collection Day’ to their recording session. It was so great to hang out with the band and see their process unfold but even more so, it was interesting to be creatively pushed in a different direction. As a photographer, I approach most my work with a particular style that I have developed over years behind the camera. This however was like nothing I had done before, made even more difficult by a very tight space and simply not wanting to get in the band members’ way. Never the less, I still approached the session in a photo-journalistic manner and tried to convey a story.

New Packaging…

I am so pleased and excited to announce my new delivery method for all digital files to wedding clients. CD’s are out and USB thumb drives are in. With many laptops eradicating CD/DVD drives all together, it seemed to make perfect sense to switch over to these great looking thumb drives. Not only are USB drives more convenient for laptops, most televisions these days come with a USB port for easy viewing of your images directly…
Can’t wait to start delivering my images on these custom ‘Tomek Photography Thumb Drives’…
